Jennifer Shemtob Starkie is the Co-Founder and Head of Admissions at Elite Early Education. She possesses 10+ years of classroom experience. She taught in the Lower Merion School District and the Philadelphia School District as a Pre-K teacher at a Head Start Program. She holds her Masters of Education and is Triple Certified in Elementary Education, Special Education, and Early Childhood Education. She has her Reading/Writing/Literacy Certificate, Instructional Technology Certificate, Classroom Management Certificate, and is Wilson Reading trained. Additionally, Jennifer completed an Instructional Coaching Endorsement Program which helps in the mentoring and training and development of teachers on her team. Jennifer is an active member of the National Tutoring Association and is involved in many Professional Networking Groups and Charity Initiatives. Jennifer has a passion for education, a vision for individualized instruction, and a desire to help as many students and families as possible.
In addition to serving as the Head of Admissions at Elite Early Education, Jennifer is the owner of Teacher Time To Go, a “travel to you” and virtual tutoring company providing Individualized Tutoring to families in the local community.
In her free time, Jennifer enjoys doing house projects with her husband, spending weekends at the beach with her family, and traveling with her friends.
Russell Mahrt is the Co-Founder and Head of Business Operations at Elite Early Education. He spent 25 years as a real estate developer and is owner of Elite Sports Factory. He developed the property at 5050 Umbria St into the premier education and sports themed facility in Philadelphia. Russell is also founder of one of the largest youth travel basketball non-profit organizations in the United States and author of the book, The Parents’ Guide to Youth Sports. With decades of experience as a high-level youth player, coach, owner, and youth sports administrator, Russell has established himself as an expert in the youth sports industry. He has a passion for helping children achieve their dreams in sports and life. After realizing that the cost of sports participation was out of reach for millions of American children, Russell started a non-profit organization to help families in need pay for travel sports.
In addition to serving as the Head of Operations at Elite Early Education, Russ is the Founder of Elite Sports Factory, the number one sports and entertainment complex in the Philadelphia area featuring kids' birthday parties, sports training and team rentals.
In his free time, Russell enjoys spending time with wife and 3 children, reading, and traveling.
Sarah Steinberg received her Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education from West Chester University. She began her teaching career as a Head Start Preschool teacher, where she gained experience working with children ages three-to-five years old and received the Outstanding Achievement Award. She then began teaching at Chesterbrook Academy Preschool as the three-year-old teacher and eventually the Third Level Manager and Links to Learning Curriculum Ambassador. As Curriculum Ambassador, she trained new employees on how to most effectively use the curriculum for greatest academic success. Sarah then moved to Chesterbrook Academy Elementary School where she taught Preschool and First Grade. After employing the use of technology in conjunction with the curriculum, she earned the Apple Teacher Certification for outstanding use of technology in the classroom.
Sarah began working as a tutor with Teacher Time to Go, where she used her love of curriculum development to create individualized lesson plans for her students. Sarah transitioned into the administrative role of Client Relations Manager with Teacher Time to Go where she works with tutors and families to ensure academic achievement.
In her free time Sarah loves reading, being active, and trying out new restaurants!
Taylor Maselli received her Bachelor's of Arts and Sciences Degree from Immaculata University. Throughout her college experience she was a part-time gymnastics instructor and when she graduated she realized working with kids was what she wanted to do full-time. She made it her full-time career and has been teaching gymnastics and fitness for 8 years. She's worked with children ages 3-15 on everything from gross and fine motor skills to flipping and twisting. Her passion is fitness and developing well-rounded children to experience their full potential. Her teaching philosophy is centered around connecting the mind and body and she embodies these principles in her practices.
Taylor began working as a fitness instructor and has led the programming and scheduling for Elite Sports Factory. Her role at Elite has developed into running events, parties, workshops, and leading individual and small group classes. She's excited to continue her career in fitness by developing the young learners at Elite Early Education.
In her free time Taylor loves going to country concerts, spending time with her family, and traveling to new places.
